Description

Hi, I was searching in the forum and saw that his was listed in earlier versions already: bbtracker creates .rem files (e.g., 20081104_182651.kml.re') which cannot be opened by the respective applications (GoogleEarth?). The funny thing: it worked 3 days ago when I first tried the software! The SD card is encrypted. This is a company policy and hard set by admin, I cannot change that setting.

I have a few tracks, it's doing it for all (I had deleted the track that worked...). I tried different folders, deleted and re-exported - nothin'.

thanks, Jan

This is not a bug in bbTracker.

That's because the SD card is encrypted. There's nothing bbTracker can do about it.

You can use the Media Transfer software from your Desktop to copy the tracks to your computer to get them in an un-encrypted form.

Copying the track directly from the SD card will keep it encrypted (and I know of no way to decrypt it then).

Hi, let me first say that i am impressed with the promptness of your reply! And second, that the software is awsome!

I have looked around a bit, too, seems to be something that bberry guys are working on: for 4.3 - 4.6 versions of their software & the Roxio Media Manager: files are NOT encrypted with Roxio while copying it to the pc/laptop!  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/articles/742/KB16240_f.SAL_Public.html I got 4.2, it's not working there either, and the workaroudn does not help. What does help is: send yourself an email the files attached! I just confirmed that this works - the files are un-encrypted in that process.

cheers, Jan
