add option to rename exported files

bbTracker works on my 8700 with 4.2.1.96 software. There is one problem: I can export my tracks to the built-in memory on the 8700, but I can't then copy the files to my computer because the Roxio media manager does not recognize the glx or kml extensions and thus filters them out. I have contacted RIM and this will not be fixed until at least version 4.3 or later of the Blackberry software. The Roxio media manager does recognize txt files, thus I suggest adding a small option to append ".txt" to exported filenames for those that need it, to work around RIM's bug.

Thanks for reporting this issue.

I've never had this problem, because I simply export to a SD card and read that on my laptop. I will probably add this option sometime before 4.0 (sometime next week probably).

In the mean time you can try choosing "Explore" on the media player and rename the file from there. At least on the 8800 this works.

Are you sure using media player to rename the file works? Media player for me renames the file, but can't rename the file extension part. This is the whole problem. The file extension must be changed to something roxio doesn't filter out, ie. ".txt".
