Start new track forgets to initialize GPS?

Description

Hello,

I've set bbTracker to 'Start new track' on startup but when doing so, nothing ever gets tracked and no GPS position is displayed. Setting the startup action back to 'Initialize GPS' returns a GPS position right away, but then I have to manually start the tracking. Device is a Blackberry 8820.

That's an interesting observation. It seems I'm missing some initialization calls when setting that property. I hope to have some time to work on bbTracker next week, and I'll look into this.

Actually, it might not be that option directly. Yesterday, while still inside with no GPS fix, I started bbTracker (with Initialize GPS as the auto run option), and then manually selected Start Track and chose a filename. When I got to my destination and checked the BB, it was stuck again saying 'Nothing to plot' and with no GPS position displayed at the bottom. It seems that it gets stuck when you start tracking before it has managed to acquire a fix on your GPS position.

I think this ticket and my ticket #70 are related in some way. While trying to create a debug log for #70, I did a power-off reset of my BlackBerry? and then started up another mapping application and acquiring GPS lock before starting bbTracker. For the first time since version 0.4.x, bbTracker began showing location information and successfully recorded a track. If my memory is accurate, I started another track (after spending several hours inside) and it successfully recorded as well. I had not exited bbTracker between those two tracks.

I think I have had similar experiences as Steltek describes where, upon starting bbTracker while inside without a lock, it doesn't ever start tracking positions even after I am outside and can see from other applications that the device has good information coming from the GPS.
